In her MFA program, Bhakti learned that stories need conflict, a tension that challenges the protagonist through a journey of healing and growth; something Bhakti knows a thing or two about. From a broken family herself, Bhakti exemplifies resilience and strength, channelling her experiences into her work as a coach supporting others through difficulties and change.
Layering this into her work as a feature writer, Bhakti mostly tells stories of people who have had to overcome adversity. She interviews the subjects with compassion and empathy, creating a safe space for them to share tales of their vulnerabilities and growth, resulting in in-depth articles capturing their journeys and inspiring all those who read them.
Her stories are featured in The South China Morning Post, Hong Kong’s premier English language newspaper.
